Abstract: Abstract This study investigated the challenges and opportunities of AI-driven curricula revolution on Automobile Technology in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions in south-South, region of Nigeria, with the aim of preventing educational obsolescence in the sector. The study adopted a descriptive survey design. The entire population of 113 respondents, comprising 16 teachers, 10 instructors, and 87 students, was studied without sampling due to its manageable size. A structured 16-item questionnaire validated by experts and tested for reliability (Cronbach Alpha = 0.88) served as the instrument for data collection. Data analysis was conducted using mean, standard deviation, and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) using SPSS. Findings revealed that lack of infrastructure, inadequate funding, and low instructor competence were the most significant challenges in integrating AI-driven curricula. Respondents acknowledged several opportunities such as hands-on experience with autonomous vehicles, enhanced problem-solving abilities, and predictive maintenance skills, though employability gains and cybersecurity knowledge were less emphasized. Stakeholders agreed on the importance of periodic AI training, certification incentives, and institutional collaborations, while expressing less interest in centralized knowledge-sharing platforms. The study concludes that while AI integration holds immense potential for transforming automobile education, its success hinges on systemic improvements in infrastructure, professional development, and policy direction. It recommends targeted investments, policy reforms, and strategic partnerships to facilitate effective AI adoption in TVET institutions across South-South geo-political region of Nigeria.
