Abstract: Abstract The study examined Teachers’ Perception of Strategies to enhance the use of Instructional Materials in Teaching Agricultural Science in Senior Secondary Schools in Gombe State, Nigeria. The study used descriptive survey design. The population of the study was 288 agricultural science teachers. The entire population was studied. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection. The instrument was validated by three experts from Modibbo Adama University, Yola Adamawa State. The data generated from the field trial were analyzed using Cronbach Alpha technique with the help of a Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 22 in which reliability index of 0.82 was obtained. Data collected were analysis using Mean and Standard deviation to answer the research questions, while linear regression was employed to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significant. The findings revealed that adequate motivation, good administrative approaches, training opportunities greatly influenced and encouraged the use of instructional materials for teaching of agricultural science in Senior Secondary Schools in Gombe State, Nigeria. It was concluded that motivation, administrative strategies, training opportunities and maintenance culture are the major strategies that positively encourage the use of instructional materials for the teaching of Agricultural Science in public senior secondary schools in Gombe state. It was recommended, amongst others, that Gombe State Ministry of Education, should motivate Agricultural Science Teachers for effective use of instructional materials using promotions and salary enhancement strategies, organize different forms of training such as workshops, conferences, seminars for upgrading and equipping agricultural science teachers in order to update their teaching skills.
