Abstract: AbstractThe study focused on the assessment of the attitudinal competencies possessed and demonstrated by technical college Auto-Mechanics craftsmen employed in tertiary institutions in Anambra State, Nigeria. One research question and one hypothesis were used in the study which was carried out in all the accredited tertiary institutions in Anambra State. Survey research design was used due to its relevance in descriptive study, audience research and programme monitoring. The population of the study was made of 110 heads of academic and non-academic departments who served as supervisors of the products in their places of work. The population of 110 was considered manageable and no sample. Competency questionnaire validated by three experts from University of Nigeria Nsukka was used for data collection. Data collected were analyzed using mean and standard deviation while the null hypothesis was tested using t-test statistics at 0.05 level of significance. The study revealed that five out of the eight attitudinal competency traits studied were possessed and demonstrated by the products. Based on the findings it was recommended that government and stake holders should improve on provision of appropriate resources inputs to encourage and sustain the programme among others.
